they tend to believe it, but it's not exactly true. gods are created by humans for humans. they believe and so we come to be. i have apparently had many different incarnations, though the memories are out of my reach. my last upgrade came into existence when a human obsessed with technology created a program to "break the rules and think for itself" so to speak. when i was no longer worthwhile to him, he had me deleted and recreated me as something else.
